Hockey is a violent sport. Nobody denies
that injuries do happen, and they can happen often. Some players are
seemingly plagued by injuries throughout their careers, others can go for
a long time without seeing the hospital bed. Yet no injury sustained while

On The Cold Streak
Gosha Khuchua
11/28/2002 It was expected. Many made
predictions that it would happen. Most, however thought that it'd happen
sooner. But here we are, in the late days of November, and the Blues are
now officially on their first semi-cold streak of the season. It can't
really be called a complete cold streak, because the team has won a few

goaltender, who was supposed to carry the team this season, was injured,
missed training camp and still can't recover… Especially when the
league's premier power forward playing for your team fractured his foot
and would miss approximately a month… Especially when one of the team's
best grinders suffered a season ending injury… Especially when the Blues
have to face one of the toughest streaks in their history…

It is my strong opinion that it is easier
to be the President of the United States than to be a fan of the St. Louis
Blues. It is not easy to become a Blues fan, but here is my modest attempt
at helping those wondering souls find the light that will lead them to the
truth - the truth of being a Blues fan.
